The main transformations will affect the center of Dzerzhinsk and key streets.
"We plan to carry out modernization that will be convenient for residents," Nikita Reut noted at the beginning of the meeting.
For example, the city's central square is planned for reconstruction, creating a unified space for public events, installing a stage, hardscape elements, and new lighting. A number of streets, street lighting, and the central water supply system will also be reconstructed. About two dozen buildings along the city's main transport routes are awaiting major facade renovations to create a unified, harmonious appearance.
Special attention is planned to redesign several intersections and ensure safe traffic, as well as complete the reconstruction of the city stadium by the start of the football season.
One of the ambitious goals, voiced by the chairman of the Dzerzhinsky District Executive Committee, is to completely eliminate gravel roads in the city and pave all streets.
— We won't take the path of least resistance. If we're going to do something, we need to do it thoroughly, so people can feel the impact, taking into account the opportunities and funds that will be invested through our collective efforts," Alexey Kushnarenko emphasized at the meeting. The governor also noted that during preparation, it's necessary to prioritize and manage the available resources, focusing on what's most important to residents. All projects must be not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, with a unified concept that reflects the uniqueness of the Dzerzhinsky District.
Preparatory work has already begun. The active phase of obtaining the necessary approvals and commencing construction will begin soon. The goal is to transform Dzerzhinsk in 2026 for its 880th anniversary, making it an even more comfortable and beautiful city for residents and guests of the regional celebration.
