In 2016 inflation in Belarus is expected at 12%, BelTA learned from Belarusian Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin on 17 December.
“We consistently work to reduce inflation. A consistent policy aimed at stabilizing the exchange rate of the national currency is pursued. Inflation is expected at 12%,” noted Vladimir Amarin.
In his words, the next year's state budget bill remains socially oriented. “We have preserved the practices relating to the uninterrupted operation of the public sector, primarily healthcare, better availability and quality of the services rendered, education, culture and sport,” stated the Minister.
The bill on the central state budget in 2016 was given the first reading in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on 17 December. The revenues are expected to reach Br180,590.2 billion, 9.6% up from this year's expected budget execution. Expenses are expected to total Br163,417.9 billion, 6.9% up from this year's expected budget execution.
