The government has determined how Belarusians will rest and work in 2026. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin. This was reported by BELTA with reference to the press service of the Council of Ministers.
In accordance with the document, the working day of April 20 (Monday) is moved to Saturday, April 25. The days of rest will be April 18 (Saturday), 19 (Sunday), 20 (Monday) and 21 (Tuesday) 2026.
In addition, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection noted that organizations, taking into account the specifics of production (work), are given the right to move the working day (April 20) to another day off that falls on Saturday.
The department added that traditionally non-working days in 2026 are: January 1 and 2 — New Year, January 7 — Christmas (Orthodox), March 8 — International Women’s Day, April 21 — Radunitsa according to the Orthodox calendar, May 1 — Labor Day, May 9 — Victory Day, July 3 — Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (Republic Day), November 7 — October Revolution Day, December 25 — Christmas (Catholic).
