Tambov Oblast of Russia offers Belarus to set up a joint venture in the chemical industry, the head of the Tambov Oblast administration Oleg Betin said in a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned. "We have a chemical enterprise, OAO Pigment, which supplies Belarus with more than 10,000 tonnes of chemicals per year. We could set up a joint company,” suggested Oleg Betin. Oleg Betin noted that some products are manufactured only for Belarus. “We are ready to allocate these areas, workshops to the joint venture. We will produce as much as needed to satisfy the demand," he said. Tambov Oblast is also interested in cooperation with Belarus in other areas. In particular, Oleg Betin suggested a joint venture to manufacture building cranes. Another possibility, he said, is the production of footwear. "We have an enterprise that makes footwear for military and other law enforcement agencies, while structural parts are manufactured in Belarus," said the head of the Tambov Oblast administration.
