On 1 September 2014 Belarus will reduce export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Customs Union. The decision is stipulated in Resolution No. 837 of the Council of Ministers as of 27 August 2014.
The export duty on crude oil will go down from $388.4 to $367.6 per tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline and commercial gasoline will make up $330.8 from $349.5 per tonne. The export duty on light and medium distillates will be $242.6 from $256.3 to per tonne. The same duty will be applied to benzene, toluene, xylene, fuel oil, lubricants, waste oils, petrolatum and paraffin, petroleum coke (except for calcinated petroleum coke) and oil bitumen.
The export duty on diesel fuel will reduce from $252.4 to $238.9 per tonne, that on liquefied gases from $147.4 to $221 per tonne.
The new resolution has amended Resolution No.1932 of the Council of Ministers as of 31 December 2010, which set export duties on crude oil and several oil product categories.
