The Ambassador met with South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin. The sides discussed the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Southern Sumatra in the extraction of natural resources, petrochemical industry, supplies of potash fertilizers, education and tourism. During the trip the Ambassador visited a company that makes granulated rubber, a rubber research institute in the city of Palembang, and a coal-mining enterprise in the city of Tanjung Enim. The organization of direct deliveries of rubber to Belarus and an increase in supplies of potash fertilizers to the Indonesian market were discussed. A presentation of products made by OAO BelAZ and OAO MAZ was arranged for the Indonesian side.
