The days of the Minsk region were held on June 28-29 in Klagenfurt, Austria, the administrative center of the federal state of Carinthia, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Austria.
The delegation of the Minsk region, headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Igor Makar, met with the head of Carinthia, Peter Kaiser, and the Mayor of Klagenfurt, Maria-Luisa Matiashitz. The party discussed issues of further development of interregional and intermunicipal interaction, including in the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Minsk region and Carinthia.
Carmen Gobi, Vice-President of the Carinthian Chamber of Economy, reviewed the possibilities for enhancing interaction between the business circles of the Belarusian and Austrian regions. In the Lakeside Science & Technology Park, the Belarusian delegation got acquainted with the Austrian experience in supporting innovation.
A large-scale presentation of the economic, scientific, educational, cultural and tourist potential of the capital region of Belarus took place on Alterplatz Square in the center of Klagenfurt on Saturday, June 29. The folk ensemble "Medunitsa" of the DK BelAZ from Zhodino performed before the Austrian audience, a tasting of national cuisine dishes was organized, and a photo exhibition by Irena Gudievskaya "Symbols of Belarus" was presented.
