In January-November 2008, the Minsk oblast increased the production of agricultural products by 9% as against the same period of 2007, BelTA learnt in the Minsk Oblast Statistics Department. The agricultural companies and private farms of the Minsk oblast upped the production by 12% as against January-November 2007. Agricultural companies and farms produced 2378.1 thousand tonnes of fodder (up 11.8% from the same period of 2007), or 26.5 centners of fodder per head (23.8 centners as of December 1, 2007). In January-November 2008, cattle weight gain made up 98.9 thousand tonnes (up 11.1% over the same period of last year), weight gain at hog-breeding farms reached 80.5 thousand tonnes (up 3.5% over the same period 2007). The agricultural companies of the region produced 265.3 thousand tonnes of cattle and poultry, up 9.6% as against January-November 2007. According to the Minsk Oblast Statistics Department, in January-November 2008, the agricultural companies increased the sales of cattle and poultry in live weight by 8.5 thousand tonnes (up 3.8%) over the same period of last year. In the period under review, poultry farms of the region produced 710.3 million of eggs (96.9% as against January-November 2007). БЕЛТА
