MINSK, June 11 (BelTA) – A new small hydroelectric power station has been launched on the Plisa river in the Smolevichi region, BelTA learnt from Nikolai Gritsuk, an official of the Minskmeliovodkhoz Company. The capacity of the new hydroelectric power station is 30kWt. The cost of the project made up Br985 million. Two small hydroelectric power stations more (the Kleva river, Berezino region and the Rybchanka river, Molodechno region) with the capacity 110kWt are being constructed in the Minsk oblast. They are expected to be launched by the end of 2009. Moreover, specialists of the Minsk oblast are preparing documents on construction two small hydroelectric power stations in Minsk oblast in 2010. The programme of construction of small hydroelectric power stations in the Minsk oblast was approved by the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee in 2001. The Minskmeliovodkhoz is the building owner of these projects; the Belhyprovodkhoz Company – the general designer of the projects. Over the eight years, the Minsk oblast has commissioned four small hydroelectric power stations in the Smolevichi, Soligorsk, Logoisk and Volozhin regions. In the future, 12 small hydroelectric power stations are expected to by constructed on the rivers Moroch, Sluch, Ptich, Servech, Isloch and others. БЕЛТА
